Williamstown's sudden exit from the South Jersey Group 4 tournament at the hands of Eastern, 4-0, wasn't exactly a shock. Williamstown coach Fred Powell all season has been noting that this was not the same team that had won back-to-back state titles. It lacked consistent pitching, hitting and defense.

It's time for another team to wear the sectional crown. Eastern, Washington Township, Shawnee and Cherokee are still in the hunt. Eastern has lost to Cherokee and Washington Township.
