Volleyball: Cinnaminson beat state's No. 1 team

Junior setter Taylor Arcaini had 36 assists as Cinnaminson rallied for a 2-1 (26-28, 25-20, 25-22) victory over Southern Regional in boys' volleyball on Tuesday.

Junior setter Taylor Arcaini had 36 assists as Cinnaminson rallied for a 2-1 (26-28, 25-20, 25-22) victory over Southern Regional in boys' volleyball on Tuesday.

Southern Regional is ranked No. 1 in the New Jersey by the Newark Star Ledger.

Senior hitters Ryan Kenny (8 kills), Dan Christmas (7 kills) and Kevin Lynch (8 kills) played strong games for Cinnaminson (21-7).

The Pirates are 36-0 at home over the last three years.

Jeff Jones, one of the state's top players, had 21 kills for Southern Regional (25-4), which had won 14 in a row.
