Baseball: Gloucester Catholic beats Williamstown 15-0

Cody Brown pitched a three-hitter and every batter in the Gloucester Cathiolic lineup had a hit as the Rams rolled to a 15-0 victory over Williamstown Saturday in the opening round of the Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic baseball tournament.

It was a quite a turnaround from Friday, when Williamstown beat Gloucester Catholic 7-6 in a regular-season game.

Brown, a junior left-hander, pitched a complete game. He worked five innings and struck out five.

Sophomore left-fielder Elliott McCummings drove in three runs and sophomore right-fielder John Brue hit a three-run home run for Gloucester Catholic (15-4), the No. 1 team in The Inquirer Top 10.

The Rams play the winner of Saturday's game between St. Augustine and Haddon Township in next weekend's second round.
