Baseball: Eastern scores 25 runs in win over Timber Creek

Eric Oliver, Sean Hunter and Tom Carr hit home runs as Eastern beat Timber Creek, 25-2, Thursday in an Olympic Conference baseball game.

The Vikings (12-4) collected 17 hits and walked 12 times. They scored 10 runs in the first inning, three in the third, seven in the fourth and five in the fifth.

Oliver had a triple and two-run homer. Hunter had a three-run homer. Carr had the best day of all: The sophomore hit a three-run homer in the J.V. game, then switched fields and hit a grand slam in the varsity game.

"Baseball can ben funny sometimes," Eastern coach Rob Christ said.
