Camden Catholic leads Cherokee, 32-24 after three quarters in a Tournament of Champions boys’ basketball semifinal at Rutgers.

 

Cherokee’s Willis Nicholson scored the first six points of the third quarter after scoring four in the first half.

 

That game Cherokee a 24-21 lead, but the Irish scored the final 11 points on the quarter, ending with Bart Middleman’s three-point runner at the buzzer.

 

Camden Catholic took a 21-18 halftime lead after going on a 5-0 run to end the second quarter. Gerry Wixted hit a long three-pointer and Tim Crawford scored on a layup right before the half.

 

Camden Catholic’s Anthony D’Orazio and Cherokee’s Maurice Jackson each had six points at halftime.
