Baldosaro discharged from hospital

Eastern athletic director Phil Smart said tonight that star wrestler Anthiny Baldosaro has eben discharged from Cooper hospital.

Baldosaro, a two-time state champion, was taken to Cooper after he was injured in a match aaginst Camden Catholic's Taylor Walsh.

"We don't know about his long-term prognosis, but it's not a severe neck injury," Smart said.

Baldosaro lay on the mat for around 30 minutes after he was injured in the third period of his bout with Walsh, who also won a state title last year.

Walsh was winning the match, 3-0, and was awarded the victory by injury default.

Camden Catholic won the match, 34-33.

Baldosaro entered the match with a 132-8 career record. He won the state title at 140 pounds in 2008 and 2009.

Walsh entered with a 111-16 career record. He won the state title at 135 pounds in 2009.

If Baldosaro recovers, the two could meet again in state competition in Atlantic City in March.
