CHA coach Jack Plunkett dies

Jack Plunkett, an assistant football coach at Chestnut Hill Academy, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at Abington Memorial Hospital due to an apparent heart attack, officials at the school said.

Jack Plunkett, an assistant football coach at Chestnut Hill Academy, died at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at Abington Memorial Hospital due to an apparent heart attack, officials at the school said.

Mr. Plunkett, who spent 30 years at the school, was a former head football coach at Chestnut Hill. He also was a gym teacher and the head of the physical educiation department.
