Bill Iezzi: Egg Harbor Hoopster Anthony Taylor

When I was writing the Cape-Atlantic League boys basketball previews, Anthony Taylor stood out at Egg Harbor Township.

A transfer from Living Faith Christian Academy, which closed, Taylor signed a Letter of Intent to attend Longwood U. So I sent an e-mail to Longwood's basketball coach, Mike Gillian, asking about the 6-2 senior guard.

Gillian didn't write back right away; however, he did finally send me an e-mail in which he praised Tayler as a "multi-dimensional player...who has "good size to play on the perimeter."

He also said that Taylor's cousin, Durann Neil, plays for Longwood, somwething I didn't know. The family factor plus EHT coach Geroge McNally's role in the recruiting process apparently paved the way for Taylor to make the move to the Division 1 school.
