Delsea 40, Haddonfield 22
Sean McPherson’s 5-yard TD run with 40.3 seconds left gave Delsea a 40-22 lead. Delsea set a single-season South Jersey record for scoring, with 510 points. The old mark was 506 by Paulsboro in 2001.
Haddonfield quarterback Phil Bhaya scored his third touchdown of the game on a 9-yard run and then connected with Michael Rivard on the two-point conversion to cut Delsea’s lead to 33-22 with 5:32 left in the fourth quarter.
Sean McPherson’s 64 yard touchdown run with 7:53 left in the fourth quarter extended Delsea’s lead to 33-14.
Haddonfield quarterback Phil Bhaya scored his second touchdown of the game, a 29-yard run with 5:27 left in the third quarter to cut Delsea’s lead to 26-14.
Austin Medley’s second touchdown, a 34-yard run with 9:48 left in the third quarter, increased Delsea’s lead to 26-7. The run came one play after Chris Pondo recovered a fumble on the Haddonfield 34.
Delsea increased the lead to 19-7 when quarterback Chris Jackson scored on a five-yard run with 54 seconds left in the first half.
Haddonfield cut the Delsea lead to 13-7 when Phil Bhaya scored on a 1-yard run with 4:13 left in the first half.
Delsea extended its lead to 13-0 on Austin Medley’s 5-yard run with 9:11 left in the second quarter.
Delsea quarterback Chris Jackson scored on a 33-yard run on the game’s opening drive to give the Crusaders a 7-0 lead. Jackson’s run came on a 4th and 3 play. It capped a 7-play, 65-yard drive. On the drive Jackson gained 45 yards on three carries.
