Junior Tom Hand made one save and converted one penalty kick as Moorestown won the South Jersey Group 3 title today with a victory over Burlington Township in boys' soccer.

Moorestown won a penalty-kick shootout, 4-3, after the teams played to a 0-0 tie in 100 minutes of soccer.

The teams were tied, 3-3, after four shooters in the shootout when both teams elected to have their goalies serve as the fifth shooter.

Hand deposited the ball in the upper right corner to give Moorestown a 4-3 edge.

Burlington Township goalie Mike DiPaola was next. He fired a low hard shot that bounced off the left post.

Moorestown, the No. 11 seed, wins its second straight S.J. title and advances to face Princeton or Freehold Boro in the state semifinals on Tuesday.
