Haddonfield girls add tennis victory

After grabbing the prize as the state’s best girls’ tennis team earlier in the week, Haddonfield added some individual honors Sunday. The South Jersey Interscholastic Championships ended with an all-Bulldogs doubles final as Haddonfield’s No. 1 duo of Martha Thoedoris and Catherine Senopoulos needed a second-set tiebreaker to beat teammates Taylor Noll and Rebecca Senopoulos, 6-0, 7-6 (7-4), at Haddon Township. The two doubles teams helped Haddonfield beat Westfield, 3-2, in the NJSIAA Tournament of Champions final on Wednesday at Mercer County Park. Camden County Tournament Cherry Hill East’s Jamie Silverberg outlasted Haddonfield’s Taylor Ng, 6-4, 5-7, 6-2, and claimed the county’s singles title at Eastern. Haddonfield’s Spencer Ng prevailed, 6-4, 6-1, over Triton’s Kristi Twardziak in the consolation matchup.
