Catholic League hockey semis moved to Thursday

The semifinals of the Catholic League field hockey playoffs were postponed because of Tuesday's rain and will be played Thursday afternoon at 3.

No. 1 seed Archbishop Carroll, which finished 11-0 in the league’s regular season, will entertain No. 4 seed Archbishop Prendergast in one semifinal. Regular season runner-up and No. 2 seed Cardinal O’Hara will host No. 3 seed Kennedy-Kenrick in the other.

Thursday's winners will advance to the finals at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Arcadia University.

Last season in the semifinals, Kennedy-Kenrick upset Carroll, while Prendergast surprised O’Hara. Kennedy-Kenrick went on to win the championship.
