Nelson, Campbell star in Chester's upset

Maurice Nelson led a ballhawking defense with three interceptions as host Chester rolled to a 28-0 win over Academy Park Friday.

Nelson, the brother of Orlando Magic star Jameer Nelson, was just one of the defensive stars for the Clippers (3-5, 2-2). One of the others was Aaron Payne, who had two of the team’s five sacks.

It was only the second loss of the season for the Vanguards (6-2, 2-2).

On the other side of the ball, Chester quarterback Tevin Campbell completed 12 of 15 passes for 248 yards and three touchdowns.
