Cardinal O’Hara’s Matt Williams, a senior two-way tackle, has orally committed to play football at James Madison.

"They’ve consistently been a winning team,” Williams said. “Also, I really like the O-line coach (Chris Malone) and the whole atmosphere at the school. I think I’ll fit in really well there.”

The 6-foot-3, 275-pound Williams, who also had scholarship offers from New Hampshire and Richmond, visited James Madison last weekend. He watched the Dukes (2-4 overall, 0-3 in the Colonial Athletic Association) bow to Villanova, 27-0, on Saturday.

Williams, a third-year starter, is projected to be an offensive lineman in college. The 18-year-old from Glen Mills plans to major in criminal justice.
