Three-set victories by No. 1 singles Taylor Ng and the No. 1 doubles team of Martha Theodoris and Catherine Senopoulos helped Haddonfield capture the Group 2 title in girls' tennis today.

The Bulldogs also got victories from singles players Meghan Burns and Spencer Ng as well as the double team of Taylor Noll and Rebecca Senopoulos in a 5-0 victory over Pascack Hills in the state championship match at Mercer County Park.

Haddonfield (30-0) was awarded the No. 2 seed in the Tournament of Champions.

The Bulldogs will play Monday against the winner of Sunday's quarterfinal match between Group 3 champion Millburn and Group 1 champion Glen Ridge.

"It's amazing, just like it was amazing last year," Spencer Ng said.

The title was Haddonfield's second in a row and third since 2004. The Bulldogs have won 16 state titles in girls' tennis, more than any other program in the state.
