Friday is the cutoff date for the boys’ and girls’ state tournament. Teams will be seeded based on their winning percentage after Friday’s games. Ties don’t factor into a team’s record for seeding purposes.

Unlike in the past, when teams needed a .500-or-better record, the top 16 teams in each group will be eligible. That means there will be more participants but less suspense heading into the cutoff date.
