Friday boys' soccer roundup

After getting out of the gate with a 10-0 record and a No.1 ranking in the Southeastern Pennsylvania Soccer Coaches Association poll, Council Rock North is 1-1-1 in its last three games including a 2-2 double-overtime tie with host William Tennent in a Suburban One National Conference game 10-9.
The Indians needed a goal with seven minutes left in regulation from Billy McConnell to tie the game.
Phil Marks preserved the shutout for the Indians with 12 saves.


Jarvis Lynch picked up a pair of goals and led Lamberton past host Parkway Center City, 4-3.
Trey Mason and Nil-Cludly Pierre also scored for the Blue Devils and Hamed Bandini notched a hat trick for Parkway.

Nafees Norris collected a pair of unassisted goals in the second half and led Del-Val Charter to a 2-0 win over host Douglas.
Marquis Budd earned the shutout in goal after stopping seven shots for the Warriors.

Mastbaum jumped out to a 2-0 lead and went on to beat host University City, 3-1.
Anniel Castaneda, Brian Parker and Justin Phann scored goals, Grantfort Rodgers added a pair of assists and Jose Suchite stopped 14 shots for the Panthers.

Ed Slueue notched a hat trick and led Bok past visiting FitzSimons, 6-0.
Slueue gave the Wildcats a 2-0 lead in the first half after converting a goal and a penalty kick. Walravens Daniel added two goals, Mamadou Kante chipped in with a goal and Majed Vichara stopped three shots for Bok.

Catholic Red.

Johnny Gregitis, Pat Kardish, Alex Littleton and Pat McGlynn scored goals to lead St. Joseph’s Prep past visiting Monsignor Bonner, 4-0.

Charlie Lewis and Nick Bruno had two saves each for the Hawks.
Pablo Martinez, Dan Micucci and Ira Woodruff scored goals and John McCarthy earned his sixth league shutout after stopping seven shots for North Catholic in a 3-0 win over visiting Cardinal O’Hara.
Micucci has five goals this season.

La Salle got goals from Emry Karatas, Darius Madison, Chris Pawlowski and Kevin Piotrowicz and beat host Archbishop Ryan, 4-2.
Madison had a pair of assists, Karatas added an assist and Steve Kelly stopped six shots for the Explorers. Brandon Beaumont and Mark Vogelman scored for the Raiders.

Catholic Blue.

 Steve Dominello scored twice for Bishop McDevitt, but Cardinal Dougherty tallied a pair of goals in the second half including one with two minutes left in regulation to force a 2-2 double-overtime tie.

Dan Price scored in the first half and Kennedy-Kenrick held off host West Catholic, 1-0.
Price scored in the 37th minute and Nick Gremminger recorded his fourth shutout after stopping three shots.


 Ben Wysocki scored for Germantown Academy with 20 minutes left in the game to break a 1-1 tie and the Patriots went on to beat host Malvern Prep, 3-1.
Kenny DeStefano gave the Friars a 1-0 lead, but Voltaire Escalona tied the game for GA by halftime and Juan Munoz added an insurance goal. He also assisted on Wysocki’s goal.

Ben Hoy earned the win goal after stopping four shots.
Sean McIntyre scored the game-winning goal with 25 minutes left in the game and gave Episcopal Academy a 2-1 win over visiting Penn Charter.
Milton Rico Berrera also scored for the Churchmen who got eight saves from Hayden Walling. Michael Goldman scored and Michael Baron stopped 12 shots for the Quakers.

Billy Burke’s goal in the second half broke a 2-2 tie and propelled Haverford School past host Chestnut Hill Academy, 4-2.
Burke’s game-winner came off a Kyle McCord corner kick. Brett Campbell and Harrison Kendal added goals and Alex Beatty scored off another McCord corner kick, tying the game, 2-2, with 25 minutes left in the game. Connor Kelly earned the win in goal with four saves. Peter Adubato and Sam Lane scored for the Blue Devils.

Suburban One Continental.

Cody Zickler scored the lone goal of the game 20 minutes into the first half and Ryan Bailey tossed an eight-save shutout in goal and gave Pennridge a 1-0 win over visiting Central Bucks East.

Souderton moved past Central Bucks East into first place with a 2-1 overtime win over visiting North Penn.
A.J. Androkites scored off an assist from Danny Mulners one minute into overtime to win the game. Alex Muir scored a goal and Dave Giannini stopped three shots for the Indians while Wes Fossile scored and Sean Murphy turned aside six shots for the Knights.

Tyler Donde scored in the first half and Jeff Reinhart added a second-half goal to lead Central Bucks West past visiting Hatboro-Horsham, 2-1.
Eric Cohen stopped five shots to earn the win in goal for the Titans.

Suburban One American.

Matt Sabin scored with six minutes left in a second overtime period and handed Plymouth Whitemarsh a 2-1 win over host Upper Moreland.
Sabin’s shot came from 30 yards out. Jimmy Garrison also scored for the Colonials.

Sepp and Stefan Dasbach scored in the first half for Wissahickon in a 2-0 win over visiting Upper Dublin.
Dan Matthews and Joe Farrell had assists for the Trojans.

Pioneer Athletic.

Ethan Compton scored the game-winning goal in the 39th minute and Pottsgrove held on to beat host St. Pius X, 2-1.
Mike Caffarello scored first for the Winged Lions, but Charlie Cowin tied the game in the 27th minute. Paul Slegelmilch stopped six shots for Pius while Mike Brown turned aside four shots for the Falcons.


Adam McNichol posted his seventh shutout of the season without facing a shot and Phil-Mont Christian beat visiting Morrisville, 3-0.
Stefan Johnson, Chris Sanford and Kevin Seibert handled the offense for the Falcons.

Friends Schools.

 With two minutes left in a second overtime period, Nate Simon put the ball into the net and gave Abington Friends a 2-1 win over visiting Germantown Friends.
Ray Longstreth crossed the ball to Simon who headed the game-winner into the net for the Kangaroos, propelling AFS past the Tigers into first place.
Manish Kurien scored a goal and Ethan Ostroff stopped 10 shots for the Kangaroos. Jason Symonette scored for GFS.

Sam Marks scored off a set piece with 30 seconds left in the game and handed Shipley a 2-1 win over host Moorestown Friends.
Marks scored of a head ball from Zac Arch. John McCann also scored for the Gators off an assist from Mike Stewart.

Jas Chojnowski stopped four shots for George School and Nick Carnes turned aside nine shots for visiting Westtown in a 0-0 double-overtime tie.


Kellen Ayres earned his third shutout with seven saves for Academy of the New Church and Jeremy Geiger stopped eight shots for visiting Lower Moreland in a 0-0 double-overtime tie.

Rob Crowley picked up a goal and an assist and lifted Unionville past host Marple Newtown, 2-1.
Jay Conroy tied the game midway through the first half off Crowley’s assist, then Crowley notched the game-winner of an assist from Sam Yarosh early in the second half.
Cory White allowed a goal by Alex Kaufman, but recorded nine saves for the Indians.

Matt Hudecheck scored twice and sparked Sun Valley to a 6-2 win over visiting Academy Park. It was the first win of the season for the Vanguards.
Ryan Howl and Ryan McCann added a goal and an assist while Adam Junkin and Evan Lynn chipped in with goals. Nick Curry stopped four shots for Sun Valley and Elvis Hannah turned aside seven shots for the Knights who got goals from Ibrahim Bio and Dillon Goss.
