Wednesday's girls' soccer roundup

Phil-Mont Christian rallied for three second-half goals, two by Soraya Toppin, to beat visiting Germantown Friends, 5-3, in a nonleague game. Toppin finished with three goals on the afternoon. Also contributing for the Falcons (8-2) was Madeline Romig, who had a goal and two assists.

Interboro’s Dana Froio had a hat trick in an 8-1 win over visiting Academy of the New Church.


Camy Anderson scored twice for host Friends Select in a 4-0 win over Girard College.


Karla Masciotro, a freshman, scored two goals to give Neumann-Goretti a 3-1 win at Chichester. Jenny Filippello had the other goal for the Saints (4-3).

Lauren Liacouras contributed a pair of assists for Perkiomen Valley in its 3-0 win at St. Pius X.


Emily Austerberry scored on a header off a 40-yard throw-in by Kelly Furman in overtime to give host Boyertown a 2-1 win over Phoenixville.
The Vikings’ Emily Armstrong had nine saves to earn the shutout in goal.


Leanne Heuer scored three goals as host Methacton topped Pottsgrove, 4-2. Heuer now has 10 goals for the season.

Catholic Academies.

Tara Barr had six saves to post her fifth shutout of the season for host Mount St. Joseph in a 1-0 win over Gwynedd-Mercy. Maggie Gottschalk scored off a Megan McCabe assist in the second half.
