Lynard Stewart, who starred at Simon Gratz and Temple, has stepped down as Penn Charter's head basketball coach.

Lynard Stewart has stepped down as Penn Charter's boys' basketball coach after four seasons, citing personal reasons.

Stewart, who starred at Simon Gratz and Temple, said he plans to pusue a master's degree in sports psychology and start a basketball training academy.

Overall, Stewart guided Penn Charter to a 43-54 record. The Quakers went 4-21 and 1-9 in the Inter-Ac League last season.

The 38-year-old played professionally in Argentina, Belgium, China, England, and Spain, among other countries.
