Archbishop Wood's Jarrett McClenton, a senior running back, committed to play at Villanova Friday after taking an unofficial visit to the school.

"I just liked everything about it," the 5-foot-8, 165-pound senior said. "Their offense is fast-paced, so I think it's a good fit."

Last season, while helping the Vikings to a 13-2 record and the PIAA Class AAA state championship, McClenton rushed for 1,700 yards and 28 touchdowns.

McClenton also had scholarship offers from Albany, Bryant, Bucknell, Central Connecticut, Holy Cross, Lafayette, and Rhode Island.
