Boys' Hoops: New date for Roman vs. N-G

The Catholic League boys' basketball showdown between No. 2-ranked Roman Catholic and No. 1 Neumann-Goretti, postponed Wednesday due to the winter storm, is now set for 5 p.m. Thursday at Philadelphia University.

Shep Garner (No. 33) and No. 2-ranked Roman Catholic (12-2) will take on No. 1 Neumann-Goretti (10-3) in a Catholic League showdown at 5 p.m. Thursday at Philadelphia University.

The Catholic League boys' basketball showdown between No. 2-ranked Roman Catholic and No. 1 Neumann-Goretti, postponed Wednesday due to the winter storm, is now set for 5 p.m. Thursday at Philadelphia University.

Roman is 12-2 overall and 6-0 in the Catholic League; N-G is 10-3 and 5-0.

Roman has won eight straight games since a 42-40 loss to Westchester (Calif.) on Dec. 20 in the 'Iolani Prep Classic in Honolulu, Hawaii.

N-G is looking to rebound from Monday's 79-67 loss to Mater Dei (Calif.), ranked No. 2 in the country by MaxPreps.com, in the Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass.
