Football: Friday PIAA playoff games postponed

The PIAA has postponed all four of Friday's state football playoff games, including Archbishop Wood vs. Bewick, due to the current weather conditions and threat of continued rain.

Due to the current inclement weather and threat of continued bad conditions, the PIAA has postponed all four playoff games slated for Friday night. Jarrett McClenton and Archbishop Wood will now play Berwick at 5 p.m. Saturday at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown.

The PIAA has postponed all four of Friday's state football playoff games, including Archbishop Wood vs. Bewick, due to the current weather conditions and threat of continued rain.

The Class AAA semifinal between Archbishop Wood (11-2) and Berwick (14-0) is now scheduled for 5 p.m. Saturday at J. Birney Crum Stadium in Allentown.

Here are the other semifinal playoffs rescheduled for Saturday due to the weather:

Class AAA

Bishop McDevitt vs. Cathedral Prep, at Dubois Area High, 5

Class A

Clarion vs. North Catholic, at Dubois Area High, 12

Old Forge vs. Steelton-Highspire, at Harmon Geist Stadium in Hazleton, 4
