Righthander Andrew Biggs was dominant in leading Millville to an opening round 4-0 win over Gloucester Catholic in the 39th annual Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic at Maple Shade.

Biggs struck out 13 and opened the scoring with an RBI single in the third inning.

A Delaware State recruit, Biggs allowed just three hits.

Millville (13-4) will meet Cherokee in Saturday’s 10:30 a.m. quarterfinal at Deptford. The Thunderbolts are ranked No. 5 in South Jersey by The Inquirer.

No. 3 Gloucester Catholic dropped to 17-4. The Rams got a complete game effort from freshman righthander John Murphy, who limited Millville to seven hits.
