Loaded Field For C.H. Invitational

All one has to do to see how impressive the boys’ basketball field is for next year’s Cherry Hill East Invitational is to look at the final Inquirer rankings.

All 10 teams that finished in the final Top 10 will be competing in the two-day Cherry Hill East Invitational that will take place Feb. 16 and 17.

The field has been announced, with Paulsboro, which finished No. 3 in The Inquirer’s final rankings, playing twice in the two-day event that is not a tournament.

Defending South Jersey Group 1 champion, Paulsboro will meet defending South Jersey Group 3 champ Camden on Feb. 16 and the Red Raiders then face defending state Group 4 champion Atlantic City on Feb. 17.

Besides Paulsboro and Atlantic City, which finished as The Inquirer’s No. 1 ranked team, the others from the final Top 10 in the field include No. 2 Willingboro, No. 4 Paul VI, No. 5 Bishop Eustace, No. 6 Eastern, No. 7 Cherry Hill East, No. 8 Shawnee, No. 9 St. Augustine and No. 10 Lenape.

All 10 teams will likely vie for a Top 10 spot next season as well.
