Phil Anastasia: Gloucester Catholic wins South B title as Brown fires no-hitter

Cody Brown pitched a no-hitter as Gloucester Catholic beat Holy Cross 3-0 in the Non-Public South B title game in baseball on Tuesday.

Brown walked three, hit two batters and struck out six. He retired the first 14 batters.

The senior left-hander is 11--0 on the season and holds the Rams' career record with 24 victories.

Junior catcher Elliott McCummings gave GC a 2-0 lead in the fourth with a two-run homer off left-hander Jeff Singer.

GC is 30-2 and advances to the N-P B title game Saturday.

Singer pitched well for Holy Cross, which finished 21-4.
