Phil Anastasia: St. Augustine-Holy Cross postponed to Sunday

The Diamond Classic clash between St. Augustine Prep and Holy Cross was postponed to Sunday at 3 p.m. at Maple Shade.

The teams wered scheduled to play Saturday in the second game of a doubleheader at Maple Shade. Paul VI beat Millville, 12-10, in the first game, which was delayed by sprinkler malfunction.

The teams warmed up in the rain but officials decided to delay the game for a day. St. Augustine is No. 2 in the rankings with a 15-2 record. Holy Cross is No. 4 with a 16-2 record.

St. Augustine's Matt Rakus is scheduled to face Holy Cross' Jeff Singer in a battle of aces.
