Bill Iezzi: Jaworski's Windy RiverWinds

As he stood near the 17th hole at RiverWinds Golf and Tennis Club in West Deptford Thursday, Ron Jaworski assessed the conditions.

"On a day like this I shoot in the low 80s," said Jaworski, who recently added the sports complex to his two other golf courses: Valleybrook and Running Deer.

The former Eagles' quarterback and current ESPN Monday Night football analyst was referring to the wind, which one official said was blowing at 35 mph. Jaworski was watching GCIT's Louis Kelly and Middle Township's Alex Hicks at the time.

Kelly and Hicks managed to adjust to the gusts to record a 75 over the par-72 course in the Carl Arena/Al Rifkin Memorial High School Golf Tournament.

The tie was broken when Kelly sank a seven-foot put on the second playoff hole for the win. His shot made par on the 165-yardNo. 2 hole, which Hicks bogeyed.
