Phil Anastasia: Baseball Top Ten musings

Picking the No. 1 team in South Jersey is easy.

It's Gloucester Catholic, hands down.

But it gets a lot more complicated after that. I have St. Augustine No. 1, followed by Holy Cross, Washington Township, Cherokee, Millville, Seneca, Audubon, Lenape and Rancocas Valley.

Haddon Township whipped Audubon by a 12-2 score on Monday. Eastern took down Lenape.

Washington Township beat Cherokee for the second time in three days, although those teams could meet five times this season (it's 2-1 Minutemen right now).

I'm sure it will all play out. I have Haddon Heights, Highland, Pitman and Shawnee among those Under Consideration, but I'm thinking Eastern, Cherry West, Paul VI, Moorestown, Florence, Delran, Holy Spirit, Sacred Heart and Buena belong in the conversation, too.

Gloucester Catholic visits Buena today in an interesting matchup. I'll be down there to check it out.
