Bill Iezzi: South Jersey's Five Finest Wrestlers

Here at Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall Sunday afternoon, five area wrestlers are shooting for state titles.

I'm guessing that three will walk away with hardware.

Eastern senior Rob Deutsch (41-0) has diominated the 119-pound weight class all season and there is no reason to think that he won't upend South Plainfield's Troy Heilman (36-2).

The 135- pound championship bout is a toss-up between Willingboro senior Tyler Scotton (34-1) and Camden Catholic sophomore T.J. Miller (42-0). Miller won a 3-1 overtime decision over Scotton in the Region 7 final.

A state runner-up last season like teammate Scotton, James Green (28-0) has the skill and the motivation to defeat Nick Alpher (40-2) of Paramus at 145.

At 215 Cherokee's Mike Zeuli will be happy with second place after he takes on Bound Brook bruiser Andrew Campolattano, the winningest wrestler in state history with a 174-1 career record.

Campolattano is going for his fourth dstate crown, Zeuli didn't even place in the tournament last season.
