Bill Iezzi: Sellout

If you are thinking about going to the Paulsboro at Haddonfield wrestlingb match Friday night, think again.

Haddonfield's athletic director, Lefteris "Lefty" Banos, sent a press release Thursday afternoon saying the match was sold out.

I called Banos this morning to find out the last time an athletic even was sold out at Haddonfield and he said it was when the West Deptford wrestling team visited. That was on Jan. 5 and Haddonfield won, 47-17.

The match was the Colonial Conference Liberty Division opener for both teams and the interest ran high.

Even though Haddonfield won the division, Friday night's match with division-rival Paulsboro is bigger.

It's all about revenge. Haddonfield beat the Red Raiders in their house, 33-31, on Jan. 21. Paulsboro just doesn;'t lose at home, so emotions are running high on both sides.
