S.J. Football: Belton changes mind on Pitt

Winslow Township quarterback Bill Belton has de-committed from Pitt and will look elsewhere to continue his football career in college.

Belton, a two-time All-South Jersey quarterback who was The Inquirer's Offensive Player of the Year this fall, is believed to be considering Penn State, West Virginia, Cincinnati and national champion participant Oregon.

The 5-10, 200-pound Belton is being recruited by most schools as an "athlete," with the potential to play a variety of roles -- from running back to wide receiver to "Wildcat" quarterback as well as kick returner.
