S.J. Football: Cherokee wins Group 4 title

Cherokee completed the first 12-0 season in school history Saturday with a 33-6 victory over Oakcrest in the S.J. Group 4 title game.

Jon Bonilla ran for 128 yards and one touchdown, and Mike Zeuli ran for 72 yards and a TD and also caught a TD for the Chiefs (12-0).

Quarterback Andy Martin was 3-for-5 passing for 77 yards and three TDs.

Cherokee's defense, led by linebacker Kevin Byrne, held Oakcrest to minus-15 yards in the first half.

Oakcrest (9-3) scored on a 16-yard pass on the final play of the game.
