S.J. Football: Winslow Twp. beats Moorestown

Bill Belton passed for 308 yards and three touchdowns as Winslow Township beat Moorestown 47-21 Saturday in the first round of the South Jersey Group 3 tournament.

Belton, a senior who has committed to Pitt, also ran for two touchdowns for fourth-seeded Winslow Township.

Senior Shaun Turner scored three touchdowns for the Eagles -- on a 15-yard rush, a 28-yard reception and a 65-yard punt return.

Winslow Township (6-3) plays at No. 1 seed Lacey Township next Satursday.

Junior quarterback Andrew Lisa was 17-for-38 passing for 272 yards for fifth-seeded Moorestown.

The Quakers, who don't have a Thanksgiving Day game, finished with a 7-3 record.
