S.J. Football: Hammonton beats Atlantic City

Jarred Sanchez ran for 111 yards and two touchdowns Saturday as Hammonton beat Atlantic City, 21-14, in a Cape-Atlantic League football game.

Sanchez, a 5-11, 185-pound senior, also caught three passes for 59 yards and completed a 27-yard pass as Hammonton improved to 5-2 and took a big step toward earning a high seed in the South Jersey Group 3 tournament.

Atlantic City (6-1) got touchowns from Radi Tolbert and Naji Ishmael.

The score was 14-14 midway in the third quarter when Sanchez broke loose for a 44-yard touchdown.
