Bill Iezzi: Haddonfiweld's Slide

I was doing the field hockey rankings this morning when I noticed that Haddonfield had lost two of its last three games.

The Bulldogs bowed to West Deptford, 2-1, on Oct. 7 and Ocean City, 4-3, two days later.

I was at the West Deptford game and watched as the Eagles' defense shutout Haddonfield in the first half and limited the Bulldogs to one goal in the second half.

Haddonfield coach Lindsay Kocher lamented that her players had failed to finish their shots.

They finished better against Ocean City, which held a 4-1 lead in the second half; however, they didn't finish enough. The Bulldogs lost, 4-3.

Haddonfield has fallen in the rankings from No. 6 to No. 10.
