Bill Iezzi: Cherry Hill East's Quarterback

POSTED: Saturday, September 11, 2010, 5:51 PM
Filed Under: Boys | Football | NJ

Cherry Hil East coach Tom Coen told me that Dan Melleby, his starting quarterback, suffered a dislocated right shoulder in a game with Clearview Saturday.

Coen added that the shoulder was put back in place; however, Melleby will have an MRI Monday to see is there was further damage. Melleby had labrum surgery on the same shoulder in the off-season.

Melleby was attempting to complete a third-down pass when he was hit cleanly by Clearview defensive end Dan Garwood.

East sophomore Blaise Paglione took the controls and did a credable job, considering that it was his first time playing varsity ball. He threw for one TD and ran for another.

Clearview won, 46-23.
