Monday is the first day you can apply to transfer your child to a school outside your neighborhood. Raising Philadelphia posted about that earlier, but here is a little more information:

The West Philadelphia Coalition for Neighborhood Schools, which encourages families who live in the catchment for Henry C. Lea school to send their children there, offers this explainer on the School District of Philadelphia's Voluntary Transfer Process, or VTP.
