Bruiser: 'We were awful'

Thanks to Lexington Herald-Leader columnist John Clay for this video of Drexel coach Bruiser Flint's postgame press conference after the Dragons were blown out at Kentucky, 88-44.
Samme Givens was the only Drexel player in double figures, with 11 points. Patrick Patterson and DeMarcus Cousins scored 18 points each, and Cousins pulled down 13 rebounds. Wildcats star John Wall scored 16 points and dished out seven assists.
The Wildcats as a whole shot 53 percent from the field and made nine of 12 three-point attempts.

Heck yeah they were! Drexel and LaSalle were an embarassment to the Big 5 last night. Thank god for Temple. Villanova will always be an embarrassment with their 5 star recruits and 1st round exits. Leron
That 1st round lost to Kentucky back in 2007 sticks out like a sore thumb, doesn't it? Guys like Foye, Allen, Sumpter, Frazer, Clark, Cunningham and Anderson...4 and 5 star guys that stayed in school and left with college degrees. I'm very embarrassed to be a Nova alum. Drexel and LaSalle go out there and play with the big guys trying to better themselves. You don't call them out when they fall short. The fact that the Power Conference teams will even play those schools is great for the Big 5. The fact that LaSalle can go and tell a recruit, "We play against Big East and Big 12 teams every year" is huge. Nothing bad comes from losing that game. ncatra01

LaSalle hasn't won a game vs a big time team in years, if not decades. Like I said, thank goodness for Temple hoops for keeping the legacy of the Big 5 in tact. Penn fielding the worst team in the history of modern basketball surely isn't helping. Leron
