Villanova-Georgetown live stats

All indications are that this afternoon's Villanova-Georgetown game will tip off on schedule at noon.

BOSTON - Reading the reports this morning, it looks like both the Philadelphia and Washinton regions have been absolutely hammered by snow. There's 18 inches on the ground at Philadelphia International Airport already, and some parts of Maryland and Virginia have seen 25 to 30 inches.

Yet all indications are that this afternoon's Villanova-Georgetown game will tip off on schedule at noon. Who knows if there will be any fans inside the Verizon Center, but from what I've heard the Wildcats got to D.C. yesterday morning, well in advance of the storm.

You can follow the game right here on Philly.com via the live box score on our Villanova page.

The meteorologists among you can follow events in Philadelphia on Inquirer writer Tony Wood's weather blog, Weather or Not. If you want to know what's going on in D.C., check out the Washington Post's breaking news blog.

Good luck to those of you who have to get around town today.
