Connecticut 84, Villanova 75

Led by 29 points from sophomore guard Kemba Walker, Connecticut upset No. 3 Villanova at the Wachovia Center, 84-75

Led by 29 points from guard Kemba Walker, Connecticut upsets No. 3 Villanova at the Wachovia Center, 84-75. The box score is here.

Note that the Huskies got to the free throw line twice as much as the Wildcats did, attempting 44 free throws to Villanova's 20. The difference in styles was also reflected by the fact that 'Nova took 65 field goals to UConn's 48.

Walker was 6-for-11 from the field, including 3-for-7 from three-point range, and 14-for-16 from the free throw line. Scottie Reynolds was Villanova's high scorer with 18 points, while Antonio Pena and Corey Stokes both fouled out.

Be sure to come back later for a postgame video from my Philly.com colleague Ryan Wixted.

And join me tomorrow night for live coverage of Penn-Princeton at the Palestra. That game isn't televised, so this will be the best place to get real-time updates from courtside.
