A few quick thoughts as the clock moves a lot faster than I want it to...

- With Penn State out of the national title picture, it's time to root for BCS chaos. Imagine what would happen if Missouri won the Big 12, Oregon State the Pac-10, Cincinnati the Big East and Utah an automatic at-large bid. Think that would make the conference commissioners sit up straight for once?

- Philly.com's office gets ESPNU on the big TV near my desk. This is a very good thing.

- ESPN.com's Pat Forde allows some minutiae to get into this week's Forde-Yard Dash, while Awful Announcing brings us the week's college football and basketball TV schedules. This renders the 1,200-plus-game spreadsheet of nationally televised basketball games I just imported my Outlook calendar almost completely moot. At least my version can be used offline.

- In addition to the national TV schedule spreadsheet, I do spreadsheets for my calendar every season for all City Six men's and women's basketball games. They include dates, times and broadcast information, and are formatted for easy use in a range of email clients and PDA sync progarms.

If you would like copies of any of those files, email me and I'll be happy to send them to you as soon as the only local school that has not yet released its radio schedule does so.

All I ask in exchange is that you promote my blog in your travels across the basketball landscape this season.

Off we go with the stats...

- Would you rank Alabama or Texas Tech No. 1?

- Which team would you rank No. 3?
