An end-of-the-season Schuylkill 16

Now that the season is over, I figured it would be a good idea to give you all one more chance to comment on how the season played out.

Now that college basketball has left us for another year, I figured it would be a good idea to give you all one more chance to comment on how the season played out.

So here one last edition of the Schuylkill 16. Do you agree with the rankings? Have your say in the comments.

1. Temple, 9 points (9 first-place votes)
- "Temple has to get some credit for finally winning a tournament game. Way to go and congratulations Fran." (Patrick Flannery)
- "Fran was a lane violation away from his first trip to the Sweet 16, but there is no doubt he has the Temple program headed in the right direction. Villanova's reign as the cream of the Philly hoops' crop is no more." (Fred D.)

2. Penn State, 23 points
- "Looks like my Nittany Lions will go back for another ten year slumber." (Tim AumAn)

3. Villanova, 30 points
- " 'Nova Nation cant have it all every year. We are about two to three years from another final four run. No one else in the sixteen is even close to capeable to making that statement. 'Nova Nation will rise to the challenge." (Patrick Flannery)
- "We found out how much Villanova needed Scottie Reynolds. Not sure whether it was that Jay couldn't get the point across to his team (the offense couldn't run a play vs. GMU) or that his players really aren't that good." (Joshn Wheeling)

4. Princeton, 42 points
- "I think Gary Walters will name himself the new Princeton caoch, and then I guarantee he will stay longer than any of the four previous Princeton coaches - Bill Carmody, John Thompson III, Joe Scott, and now Sydney Johnson." (Stephen Goldsmith)

5. Bucknell, 61 points
- "The UConn buzzsaw aside, Bucknell was by far the most improved team in the Schuylkill 16 this year." (Tim AumAn)

6. Drexel, 63 points

7. Rutgers 66 points

8. La Salle, 85 points
- "I would have never imagined I'd be placing La Salle in double-digits here at the beginning of the season." (Josh Wheeling)
- "Bye bye, Aaric. He will be a stiff somewhere else too." (Patrick Flannery)

9. Delaware, 88 points

10. Rider, 96 points

11. Penn, 98 points
- "It was great to see the Quakers competitive, but it's sad to have to applaud a 7-7 Ivy effort. At least the conference had a pretty strong year." (Josh Wheeling)

12. Lehigh, 102 points

13. Lafayette, 104 points

14. Saint Joseph's, 106 points
- "The Hawk is dead. Temple students laid him to rest in a brilliant display. Phil must go, his days are past." (Patrick Flannery)

15. Delaware State, 125 points

16. Monmouth, 126 points
- "Momounth's new coach, King Rice, has the best name in college basketball." (Stephen Goldsmith)

And on that note, we will call it a day. Thanks so much to all of you who participated throughout the season.
