The NIT schedule is out, and Drexel, La Salle and St. Joe's will all play first-round home games Wednesday night.
Combined with Penn's participation in the CBI, it means that there will be four games going on simultaneously across the city.
The NIT matchups are as follows:

I think Temple fans will like it, and I think all of you will probably find something you disagree with.
How far do you think the Owls will go? What upsets have you got? Who's in your Final Four, and who's your national champion? Post a comment and let me know.

We like to say that the first Thursday and Friday of the NCAA Tournament are the best days of the year in sports. But for many college basketball fans, Selection Sunday is the most nerve-wracking.
It won't be as bad around here as it could be, because we know that Temple, Villanova and Lehigh are all safely in the field. But now we find out which seeds those teams will get, as well as where they'll play this week and next.
There's also the not-so-small matter of the other 62 teams in the field. How far our local programs will advance depends as much on the teams they face as their own talent.

We did this last year and it was pretty successful, so this year I'm giving you another chance to make me look stupid.
I've created a pair of contests for blog readers in Philly.com's Hoops Hysteria contest. The first is a standard full-bracket contest. The second is a round-by-round contest, which is a bit different from the usual but should also be a lot of fun. In other words, you make your picks after each round instead of all at the start.
If you do really well, you can win prizes: they range from a $500 gift card to $100,000 if you get the whole thing perfect.
