In part because there are games in the Eastern, Mountain and Pacific time zones on Saturday, the tip times are very spread out. There will be some overlap, not much. There will be three games at once between 7:45 and 8:30 p.m. or so. But for the rest of the day and night, there will only be at most two games going simultaneously.

The showcase game is the much-anticipated matchup between Michigan's high-powered offense and Virginia Commonwealth's famed "Havoc" defense. CBS' prime time selection is Butler vs. Marquette, which will be the first time the Bulldogs face one of their new Big East brethren since joining the conference.

Here's the full slate. All times are Eastern:

I have been covering college basketball in Philadelphia for a decade now, and I can't remember heading into a day as wild as this one promises to be.

Q. James, you have some great wins and then some losses that you wouldn't think you would lose to those teams. Talk about the inconsistency, why you think it's happened.

JAMES BELL: We try to focus on what we do as a team and sticking to our core values.

Q. Dexter, y'all had some struggles this year getting things going. What has it been about the last couple weeks where you seem to put things a little bit more together?

DEXTER STRICKLAND: I would say just confidence and our experience, just growing as a team.

La Salle's 1954 national championship was won at Kansas City's famous old Municipal Auditorium. Just a few blocks away sits the modern, glittering Sprint Center. That's where the Explorers will face Kansas State on Friday.

Q. What have the last 18 to 20 hours been like?

Q. Jordan, last year you had such a good NCAA tournament. Can you talk about your confidence coming into this tournament, address how your back is feeling right now.

JORDAN HENRIQUEZ: Yeah, just based off the NCAA tournament before, uhm, you know, my confidence coming in is just high, just knowing what kind of seed we have, the kind of advantage we have. As a whole, we have to take advantage of it.

Q. Khalif, you guys have been here so many times, and you've struggled in the first round except for one game. What's going to be different about this time? Have you guys even talked about the difference maybe in this year compared to years past?
