Thursday's meat and potatoes

We are in high school girls' 4x100-meter races from now until 1 p.m., when the college women take over.

Not too much standing out at the moment, other than the big crowds milling around on 33rd Street when I went to get lunch.

But there have been a few scattered "Woooo"s from the crowd, including one in a heat I just watched won by Deptford (N.J.).

To give you an idea of how many schools have 4x100-meter teams here, the schedule starts at AA and ends at ZV.
