John McCain has never met "my friends" he hasn't liked.
So, to make this week go more smoothly, we suggest the Republican convention drinking game center around the presumptive nominee's love of "my friends."
Last week, my colleague Dan Rubin suggested the Dems drinking game be wedded, or rather liquored, in "change."
This week, let's hoist a St. Pauli Girl or three to "my friends," John McCain's mantra.
Slate.com has a wonderful post of the use of the phrase, and it's importance in political history.

when i canceled the inquirer home delivery, they asked why. I said, poor reporting incredible liberal bias.. hey brian t.. look at your post here and in daily news from the racist fatima ali.. sad state of affairs for the 4th estate. stevejones
You know, I'm not impartial here, because these are "my friends," but there was a Democrat drinking game (ch-ch-ch-ch-change) and a Republican drinking game proposed on our blogs and I fail to see how that invalidated our impartiality. I need more, and, believe me, I see snakes in all party basements. Bob Ford
Bob Ford is posting on a comment board, sliding further into irrelevancy. Why do you censor comments? Why won't Bunch take up our case! jeffreyg61
BF- Spardaro is on line 2 ready to give you tomorrows copy. jeffreyg61- Amazing how much negativity gets spewed on comment boards. Anywho, you know what else is annoying? The applause is so synchronized it is almost creepy. It sounds like a nonstop applause track, instead of a laugh track. Reminds me of drones or something. I know, I know, it's the nature of conventions but it is still creepy. Jim C.
