While Senator Clinton has been popping up all over the commonwealth, her husband has rarely visited the region. The last time he was two weeks ago in Pottstown and the important primary is less than two weeks away. There have been no announced visits for this weekend.

This seems strange strategy given that Philadelphia went huge for Clinton, 68 percent in 1992 and 77 percent four years later. Has his rock star status declined that much?

Hillary and their daughter Chelsea are crisscrossing Pennsylvania while Bill is elsewhere. The result is that she sometimes seems like a single mother.

Meanwhile, gardens bloom with Hillary and Obama signs, as much a harbinger of this spring as the tulips. Will we ever see Bill, once the bluebird of happiness, again?
