State Senator Vincent Fumo, the gift that keeps on giving, issued this press release today. Please note he is against the marriage protection amendment, which was approved 18-8 by the Senate Appropriations Committee, but has a strange, yet attention-getting way of showing his support for legally protecting same-sex unions.
Following is part of his remarks:
Ladies and Gentlemen,
Today, we are all homosexuals. You, me, every legislator, every staff member, every visitor to this Capitol, is gay. Because we are all Americans. We are all Pennsylvanians. And when the basic human rights of any group are threatened, then no one’s rights are safe.
You might admire his support but his words sure do take a strange twist. Really, we're all homosexuals?
Does this mean we're all facing 139-count federal indictment, too?
Boy, are we going to miss him.
