Larry Eichel reports...

The bus does move after all. Even as we blog, Barack Obama is seeing the high points of Altoona. He's already been to Altoona's Original Texas Hotdogs and had some hot dogs. Now, he's bowling at the Pleasant Valley Recreation Center. We're reliably informed that if he's not too exhausted by all of this heavy-duty sightseeing that he plans to hit a sports bar in State College to watch the NCAA tournament.

On Sunday, for a change of pace, he's going to do the more usual Obama thing -- a mass rally attended by thousands of adoring fans. This will take place outside on the Penn State campus.

And here's video from the tour:

When the good folks of PA get to hear and see Barack up close they will fall in love with his heart, his understanding of the issues, his policies, his ability to bring diverse people together, the way he respects people and listens to them in a truly heartfelt way. He has not taken the low road, he has not disintegrated under fire, he is unwaveringly honest. In short, he would make a very capable leader. AND he actually has MORE years in elected office than HC.

He actually has MORE years in elected office than HC. So actually Obama's motor has been running longer than Hillary's!

When Hillary's motor was running with a Dem President & Democrat Congress she did NOT deliver Healthcare. Obama has displayed better Leadership.

When Hillary's motor was running at 4 years as the almost universally projected nominee she has NOT delivered. Obama has displayed better Leadership.

The bus can only have one driver: Leadership is not shared. Only one candidate fits that bill and his name doesn't end in Airy.

Hillary is uniquely qualified to be president. She has the granularity I want in a president. She is the only one in this primary who has a record of working with people across the aisle to pass important legislation. She is dedicated to children's issues. Her work with others has made a difference for millions of Americans. Please go to www.hillaryclinton.com and make a donation (even $5 would make a difference) to help get the message out.

It's written by political journalists from the Philadelphia Inquirer. Send us your comments -- and news tips -- at this address.

Thomas FitzgeraldThomas Fitzgerald joined The Philadelphia Inquirer in 2000, and has covered Harrisburg as well as city, state and national politics for the newspaper. He was a “boy on the bus” in the 2004 presidential campaign and during primary contests in 2000 and 1996.
