Poll problems: The case to extend hours

Jennifer Lin reports:

Voter Action, which has just asked a Philadelphia judge to extend poll hours until 10 p.m., is making its case with voter affidavits. One Richard Brown, of the 5700 block of N. 12th Street in Philadelphia, swore an affidavit that both voting machines at his polling place were broken when he arrived there at 6:55 a.m. It took nearly two hours for the machines to be either repaired or replaced, according to Brown's affidavit, and more than an hour for election officials to produce paper provisional ballots. Roughly 75-100 would-be voters left before that, according to Brown's affidavit.

Typical philly politics in action, make sure the voting machines don't work and not even have a provisional ballet is hard to comprehend but who would not have thunk it. It's the Rendell machine at work. Yo Hillary don't bother to come back.

If Hillary had run in 2004 no broken machine would of stopped her, but she didn't have the stomach for 2004. If Hillary had Guts she would of ran in 2004.

I don't mean to be offensive with this comment, but why couldn't the Inquirer have sent photographers into someplace other than Philadelphia, since as it stands now so many/most of the pictures scattered throughout the paper are of long in the tooth and hair black men near the downtown areas as far as I can tell. Just a little balance please considering who is going to win this race anyway....

This isn't right-- not everyone can wait in line 2 hours to vote, a lot of people have to work and can't take hours out of their day to stand in line. Why weren't the provisional ballots ready to be handed out?

Obama is winning the national vote and will win the national nomination. Pennsylvania could vote for Unity with this obvious fact.

don`t worry...they`ll extend hrs. to make sure we get to vote... Obama`s record/experience is a joke conpared to Hillary`s...and i don`t care what he did as a state Sen...except the criminals, etc...it`s looking like he hung with to help him get money...to get, by comparison, only a few things done... meanwhile, Hillary`s met with leaders all over the world and has visited over 80 countries to help out any way she could! in addition, here`s just some of All Hillary`s achievements/experiences as a US Senator... http://hillaryclinton.com/about/senator/ ...and as 1st Lady... http://hillaryclinton.com/about/firstlady/ spin it any way you like, the FACT still remains that Hillary has far more experience in foreign matters than Obama...in Obama`s latest flurry of COMPLETELY ARROGANT statements, he said that he has superior world experience to both McCain and Clinton...just because he was in Kenya and Indonesia for a grand total of 4-5 countries he`s been to...mostly as a kid...LOL
